Open Field is a digital magazine. Content comes from women, proceeds go to the charity CARE. Issue one can be read on iPad. Issue two can be read on iPad and iPhone. We’re working on issue three now. Everyone who works on the magazine or contributes their work does so without payment. None of us works for CARE – we simply want to support their amazing work by donating money from the sale of our publication.

Open Field Issue One
For the first issue of Open Field, we asked twenty-eight women to consider the word Change.
In response, they offered stories of challenge and renewal, photographs of Israeli nuns and Afghani singers, poems in Spanish, and brightly coloured wool-and-taxidermy art. It was an anarchy of talent (that seems like the right collective noun).
Contributors to Issue One include:
Writer and poet Fatima Bhutto
Writer Anne Summers
New Yorker cartoonist Liza Donnelly
Actor Claudia Karvan
Restaurateur Nahji Chu
Musician Sally Seltmann
Artist Louise Weaver
Moby Media’s Wajma Mohseni
A special thank you to Tereza Vlčková and Andrea Gjestvang who provided the cover photographs for issues one and two respectively. And to Jessica Tremp whose photograph graces the cover of issue three.
