Open Field is an annual iPad publication featuring creative work – some written, some visual – by twenty-eight amazing women.
All content comes from women. All money raised from the sale of Open Field goes to programs that assist women, via the charity CARE.
Everyone involved in making Open Field worked for free. None of us are affiliated with CARE. We simply wish to support their incredible work.
In Open Field Issue One, contributors address the topic of Change, offering stories about meeting nuns in Israel, creating the television show Afghan Idol, surviving a summer without speech and a life without cigarettes. The stories, and beautiful artwork, are witty, wise and fascinating.
Contributors include:
Pakistani poet Fatima Bhutto
Australian journalist and writer Anne Summers
New Yorker cartoonist Liza Donnelly
Australian actor and producer Claudia Karvan
New York photographer Lili Almog
As well as writer Alice Garner, restaurateur misschu, singer-songwriter Sally Seltmann, novelists Joanna Hershon and Kate Veitch, body artist Lucy McRae, and more.
